D.C. United Academy update: May 20, 2015
D.C. United Academy teams had mixed results in their latest fixtures. On Saturday, May 16, the Black-and-Red posted a winning record in matches against Continental FC Delco, and on Sunday, May 17, United teams didn’t fare as well as they hosted teams from the New York Red Bulls and Oakwood SC.

Meanwhile, D.C. United U-17/18 advanced to the No. 5 overall seed, while Richmond United, Baltimore Bays Chelsea, Prince William Courage and Soccer Association of Columbia also competed in late-season matches.

Virginian Elite Showcase implements festival atmosphere for 40th edition
One of the longest-running youth soccer tournaments on the East Coast, the 2015 Virginian Elite Showcase will once again include more than 600 teams from seven U.S. states and Canada competing on fields throughout Northern Virginia from May 23-25. Representing 90 clubs primarily from Virginia and Maryland, along with Pennsylvania, North Carolina, New York, New Jersey, West Virginia and Toronto, the numbers and overall quality of competition at the staple regional event continue to rise.
