The ECNL recently hosted the 2022 ECNL Girls Florida National Event in Lakewood Ranch, FL from January 8-10.

U-16

Morgan Paley

Made an impressive PK save to help preserve Solar’s lead during a fast-paced opening match against SUSA. Solar went on to post a perfect 3-0-0 record.

Aria Craig

Talented two-way player who made numerous contributions both defensively and offensively as Solar swept the competition. Craig finished the event with two goals and an assist.

Emeri Adames

Paced the offense for Solar by scoring four total goals during their three wins, finding the net at least once in every game.

Aly Guthrie

Aly was tied for the team lead with three assists in as many games at ECNL Florida. She contributed to all three wins and played both attacking and defensive midfield roles, as well as center back.

Tabitha “Abbi” Sine

Tabitha was not only a force in the defense third, stymying the opposing teams’ top offensive players and helping secure shutouts in both games, but she also played a key role in transitioning into the attack. She operated as a dangerous additional attacker, creating a number of offensive opportunities for her team, including multiple crosses into the box and shots on goal by Sine herself.

Leslie led all scorers for the Texans with two goals and was a major force in the Texans offense all weekend. She was dangerous with the ball at her feet in all games, making crisp and precise passes to go along with her goals on the weekend.

Serving in the role of super-sub, Rintoul entered the opening match against VDA off the bench and scored two goals while assisting a third, leading Minnesota to a wild 4-3 win.

Brooke Brown

Playing as an attacking midfielder, Brown scored two goals and had one assist at ECNL Florida, helping Eclipse Select earn an unbeaten 2-0-1 record.

Scored two goals for the East Team in the National Selection Game, including the game-winner. She also scored two goals – including a game-winner against East Meadow SC – and had an assist for her club team to help win the two matches she played with them.

Contributed to a strong defensive effort by the Liverpool IA Michigan back line by providing quick recovery speed and showing good spatial awareness. Wright was effective in 1v1 situations, denying crosses and on throw-ins.

U-18/19

Emily Ford

Put up big numbers on the attacking side for NCFC, scoring goals of her own and creating scoring chances for her teammates. Ford finished the event with two goals and two assists.

Emma Romano

The 2022 Navy commit made an impact against Penn Fusion coming from her outside back position, scoring from the 18 by hitting a clever ball over the goalie’s outreached hands. Emma also contributed with an assist by putting a dangerous ball on her teammate’s foot after making an overlapping run.

Eliza Fisher

Midfielder
MI

Made a major impact defensively as Michigan limited opponents to one total goal over three games. Against Richmond United, Fisher consistently stole passes at outside back to keep the ball in the Hawks offensive end of the field, to make a 1-0 lead hold up. She was able to accurately pass via foot and head to teammates to keep offensive pressure up.

Playing the entire weekend at center back, Mairn excelled at anticipating through balls to beat forwards to the ball, limiting the opponent’s chances. Consistently made pinpoint passes to teammates to move the ball up the field.

Oklahoma Energy FC U-18/19 (OK)

Played a key role between the posts for Oklahoma Energy FC over the course of the event. OEFC maintained an unbeaten record with a win and two draws, with Hapgood and the back line coming up strong.
