UCF women’s soccer adds former pro player Keisuke Ota to coaching staff

ORLANDO, Fla. – UCF women’s soccer head coach Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak has announced the addition of former professional soccer player, Keisuke Ota to the Knights’ staff.

The newest UCF coach began his playing career in 2000, playing for J-League Division 1 side Shimizu S-Pulse of the J-League Divison 1. Ota accumulated 277 appearances in 16 years of professional soccer, splitting time in J-League Division 1 and Division 2.

“We are thrilled to have Keisuke join our staff this season,” said Roberts Sahaydak on the newest member of the staff. “He has spent 16 years playing at the highest professional level in Japan and more recently he has completed his advanced coaching licenses. He has a wealth of experience and an effective way of teaching. He will be a valuable addition to our program!”

Residing in Orlando, Ota is enrolled as an undergraduate student at the University of Central Florida to study Kinesiology with an emphasis on Sport and Athletic Coaching. Keisuke Ota joins the UCF women’s soccer staff with his U.S. Soccer Coaching C License, and a Japan Football Association ‘B’ License.
