he Girls-Under-17 State Open Cup final of the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) was an interesting match-up between the HBC Strikers of the Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL) and the Manhattan Kickers Red of the Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League (CJSL), two teams who had never won a State Open Cup championship before. HBC proved they are the best team in the state with a 3-1 win on a wet field on May 31 in LaGrange.

The ECNL regular season wrapped up over the weekend with several high stakes match-ups involving Potomac area clubs.
