Villanova men’s soccer signs PDA midfielder Jordan Canica

VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Villanova men’s soccer coaching staff announced its sixth signee for the upcoming 2021 fall season, as midfielder Jordan Canica is set to join the Wildcats. He comes to Villanova as a representative of Gill St. Bernard’s School and powerhouse youth club Players Development Academy (PDA) in New Jersey.

“Jordan is a dynamic attacking player who creates opportunities off the dribble or through his ability to combine in tight spaces,” said Head Coach Tom Carlin. “Jordan is a multi-dimensional attacking player who can pull the strings to set up goals as well as being the goal scorer himself.  We are excited to add Jordan’s electric style of play to our team. Early in the recruiting process in was easy to see Jordan resonates with Villanova’s values of Truth, Unity, and Charity. He will be a spark plug in our program and will succeed through hard work and great daily habits. We see big things ahead for Jordan.”

Canica is now part of an announced class that also includes fellow freshmen to be Kyle Dixon, Balthi Saunders, Vince Petrera, Oneil Dawes and Tommy Johnson. Additional signings are also expected in the weeks ahead.
