Villanova men’s soccer signs New York area product Balthi Saunders

VILLANOVA, Pa. – A second member of Villanova’s incoming class for the fall of 2021 has been announced, as forward Balthi Saunders is set to join the Wildcats.

The New York City area product has played for USSDA / MLS NEXT programs NYCFC, New York Red Bulls and Met Oval.

“Balthi is a goal scoring machine,” said Villanova Head Coach Tom Carlin. “He is a very creative attacking player. Balthi can break down defenders off the dibble as well as with set up goal scoring opportunities with a decisive final pass.”

“He is comfortable in tight spaces and is a true poacher around goal,” Carlin continued. “We see a bright future for the new Wildcat and believe he will excel in all facets within our Villanova community. Balthi is a great addition to our 2021 class and we’re excited to welcome him.”

Saunders joins Kyle Dixon in the announced Villanova Class of 2021 with more additions expected in the coming days.
