Wake Forest men’s soccer announces Cooper Flax as first 2022 recruit
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest men’s soccer has announced Cooper Flax as the first addition to the program’s 2022 signing class.
Flax has been a member of numerous youth teams within New York City FC’s academy and has trained with the first team in each of the last two preseasons. He is the top rated player in New York for the 2022 class.
“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Cooper Flax to the Wake Forest Family,” said associate head coach Dane Brenner. “Cooper is a player with an immense amount of talent and has had experience at the highest levels of youth soccer with NYCFC as well as the US National Team. Cooper is widely considered one of the top prospects in the country and we are thrilled to get him on campus in January and begin to work with him.
“His tactical understanding of the game and technical ability on the ball will serve him well fitting in with our attacking possession base style of play.”
Saunders is a talented forward in the class of 2021.
Head coach Mike Babst signed six new Wildcats.
Hunter George and William Kulvik will join the Terrapins.
WVU revealed five members of its signing class.
The incoming class includes 11 first years.
ODU will welcome 9 new recruits this fall.
