University of Central Florida men’s soccer signs French defender Lenny Cidolit

ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of Central Florida (UCF) men’s soccer team has added its eighth member of its 2020 recruiting class, as Lenny Cidolit has signed with the Knights.

Cidolit is a right back who hails from Montpellier, France, bringing UCF’s total number of Frenchmen on the roster to four.

A transfer from Montpellier University, Cidolit will come to Orlando as a redshirt sophomore. His prior experience consists of winning championships with Montpellier U19 and Montpellier B. He was the captain of that U19 team and also represented them in the UEFA Youth Champions League.

Cidolit chose to join the Knights because of “the education, vision of the program and the platform to go onto the professional level.”

Cidolit is one of five defenders to sign on for 2020, adding plenty of depth to the position. The Knights only had four defenders on the roster prior to this year’s recruiting class.

Brennon Neff, Anderson Rosa, Mohamed Traore and Juan Ramos make up the other four incoming defenders. Lucca Dourado, Ariel Hadar and Tyler Lavigne round out the recruiting class. Six of the eight newcomers have been playing soccer in the United States for some time, as Cidolit and Hadar are the only two to join the team directly from an organization overseas. In total, the eight 2020 recruits come from six different countries spread across five continents.
