Players to Watch: ECNL Girls Regional League Championships

The ECNL Girls Regional League Playoffs kick off this Friday, June 16 with 346 U13-U19 teams competing across five different regions. ECNL RL winners will be determined in the Central, Northeast, Southeast, Texas, and West.

Ahead of the weekend’s action, here are some of the top players to know from across all five regions in the U15-U19 age groups. Players are divided up according to their graduation year.

2024

Jazelle Alvarado | Midfielder
D’Feeters Kicks SC 05/04 (TX)

Has played well in the midfield all season long for DKSC during their second place finish in the Texas Conference (15-3-8, 53 points). In addition her pinpoint passes, she can also create brilliant goal-scoring opportunities for herself. At the high school level, she was recently named to the Texas 11-5A All District First Team for Sunset High School. (ECNL RL Texas Championship)

Elena Garcia | Defender
CESA 06 (SC)

Earned a spot in the ECNL Regional League Selection Game in December for her lockdown defensive work. She can track attackers and make decisive, professional tackles in both close and open space. Solimar Rivera | Midfielder-Forward
FC Stars Blue 05/04 (NJ)

A lightning quick attacker (she is a dual sport athlete in both soccer and track and field), Rivera can make darting runs both on and off of the ball and cause major confusion along defensive backlines. She is efficient with her touches, making even the most challenging of situations look easy. Ellie Ketzner | Midfielder
Albion Hurricanes FC 05/04 (TX)

Led the AHFC attack from the midfield on an offense which scored 50 goals in Texas league play. She makes quick reads and on her first touch can immediately kick start the counterattack. Defensively, she can retain possession for long periods of time and can make the long passes to the outside to force opponents to chase and eat up the clock. (ECNL RL Texas Championship)

Ella Seelhoff | Forward
Seattle United 04/05 (WA)

A fast and crafty attacker, Seelhoff makes runs creating scoring opportunities and is one of our leading scorers on Seattle United ECRL. Ella’s speed causes distractions to her opponents and she can cross the ball precisely to her teammates. Seelhoff will lead her Glacier Peak High School team (as well as the Track & Field team) in Snohomish Washington as a 4 year Varsity player and captain. (ECNL RL West Championship)

Ashlyn Guerette | Goalkeeper
FC Stars White 04/05 (MA)

Representing the New England Conference champions, Guerette controlled play as a true leader of the defense in goal. Her communication is top notch, distribution out of the back is strong. She conceded only 13 goals in 14 games to help her team win the conference championship.

Addy Rozycki

MO

Rozycki was the leading goal scorer for KC during their Fall 2022 season. She typically operates as a false number 9 and is comfortable with the ball at both feet. Her explosiveness has helped her club and high school side earn three State Cups as well as Missouri Class 4 All-Region, All-Conference and All-District awards

Virginia Rush 06 (VA)

McEntarfer is the center back for the 3x Virginia State Cup champion and ECNL-RL champion Virginia Rush 06 girls. She’s also a Rush National Team Select player, and was recently named to the 6A All-Region 1st team for Kellam High School in Virginia Beach. (ECNL RL Southeast Championship)

Wilmington Hammerheads 07 (NC) 

An explosive midfielder that can both create and supporting attacking plays, Bailey is very effective on the counter-attack.  She works seamlessly with her teammates on both sides of the pitch but can also lead when called upon. (ECNL RL Southeast Championship)

DKSC RL 07 (TX)

A complete center-back in every sense of the word, Rose is both comfortable in the air and on the ground, able to make consistent clears at timely points of the match. Team mainstay in the central midfield who helped her team to a first place finish in the Ohio Valley North Division. Make decisive saves in one-on-one situations. In addition to her athletic skills, she runs a tightly organized defensive line and can often be seen delivering directions to her defenders.
