PDA ECNL forward Kayla Reed signs with Monmouth University

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Monmouth University head women’s soccer coach Dr. Krissy Turner announced the addition of Kayla Reed to the program for the upcoming 2022 season.

Reed, who will graduate from East Brunswick High School this June, becomes the eighth addition to the class and the seventh from New Jersey that will join the Hawks for the fall campaign. On the club side, Reed represents Players Development Academy (PDA) in ECNL Girls.

“Kayla is a very talented soccer player,” Turner said. “In the past, she has scored some terrific goals. We look forward to her adding depth to our attacking group this fall.”

At East Brunswick she was a four-year letter winner and was ranked No. 4 in New Jersey by TopDrawerSoccer.com in the top-150 national rankings. As a senior, she was named an All-American and received numerous accolades by the New Jersey Girls Soccer Coaches Association (NJGSCA) en route to helping her team claim its second Greater Middlesex Conference (GMC) Championship since 2019. She earned All-State Top-20 and Central Region Top-20 recognition while being named to the All-Region Team receiving Sectional Recognition Coaches Association honors.

Reed was also a NJGSCA All-State honoree in 2020 and tabbed GMC All-Red Division in 2019 and 2020. In her playing career, she has received a US Training Center invite and was a US Camp attendee.
