The triple header action started with a 1-0 victory for Fluminense FC over FC Dallas U-18 Development Academy. FC Dallas started the game with several early chances before Fluminense’s attack came to life. After that, each team had opportunities but were unable to score. The match remained knotted at 0-0 until late in the second half of the game, when Fluminense’s Felipe Sampaio took a chance from the right side of the box field that found the back of the net in the 79th minute.

The 3:00 pm match saw a feisty game between Mexico’s Tigres UANL and English Premier League side, Everton FC. Tigres jumped out to an early 1-0 lead thanks to a crafty goal scored by Luis Cruz in the 12th minute. In the second half, tempers flared in this physical match which saw an Everton player get sent off in the 60th minute. Despite being a man down, the English side continued to create chances. They had their best chance to draw level in 77th minute, but Tigres’ keeper, Sergio Silva, made a sprawling save to keep the clean sheet and secure the 1-0 victory.

The nightcap saw the U.S. U-20 Men’s National Team defeat Monterrey Raydos of Mexico, 1-0. The lone goal was scored by the Toyota MVP, Jeremy Ebobisse, when he took a perfect through ball from teammate Brooks Lennon, touched it around the Monterrey goalkeeper, and into the empty net.
