Over 900 ECNL players commit to Division I programs for 2015
The Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) today announced the College Impact of the league's 2015 graduating class, revealing that 90 percent of the ECNL's 1,357 graduating seniors will go on to play college soccer in the fall of this year. In total, 1,203 ECNL athletes will go on to play collegiately with 920 in NCAA Division I programs.
ECNL clubs headline National Elite Soccer Showcase early acceptances
After a major winter storm wiped out the first edition of the National Elite Soccer Showcase (NESS) in 2014, the spring kickoff event held on Long Island is back for 2015 with top ECNL clubs such as Connecticut FC, Minnesota Thunder and host Albertson Fury already committed to sending teams. National powerhouse Quickstrike FC has also registered several elite level sides.
Potomac ECNL Florida review: Richmond United impress at Sanford event
The D.C., Maryland and Virginia area had several representatives from the Elite Clubs National League at the ECNL Florida showcase event in Sanford, Fla. For all the teams from the Potomac region, it represents their final games until at least February, with everyone having the month of January off from league play.
ECNL Florida: Notable games from an action-packed showcase
The Elite Clubs National League took over 100 teams to Sanford, Fla. for the ECNL Florida showcase event, watched by over 100 college coaches as players from across the country were brought together for the three-day tournament. There were plenty of highlights amidst the games, with a number of individuals also impressing at just the right time for their clubs with the vast majority of their teams on hiatus from league play until at least February.
Tri-State ECNL Florida review: PDA go unbeaten in Sanford
Teams from the Tri State area in the Elite Clubs National League headed south to Sanford, Fla. for the ECNL Florida showcase event to test themselves against other elite girls teams from across the country. With league play now on hiatus until at least February, it was a good opportunity for some morale-boosting performances and results before a break from competitive action.
