The U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team won its second game in a row in England, defeating its counterparts from Norway, 5-0, as forward Sophia Smith scored three times while forward Summer Yates and midfielder Cori Dyke added single scores.

U.S. U-18 Women’s National Team defeats England 3-1 in friendly
The U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team defeated its counterparts from England, 3-1, as forward Summer Yates scored an early goal followed by a brace from forward Sophia Smith. The match was played at St. George’s Park, England’s National Training Center.

U.S. Soccer introduces James Bunce as High Performance Director
The U.S. Soccer Federation has announced the hiring of James Bunce as High Performance Director. Bunce joins U.S. Soccer after serving as Head of Performance for the Premier League in England.

U.S. U-18 Women’s National Team set for three matches in England
The U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team will travel to England from February 15-26 and will play three matches, two against England and one against Norway.

Roster named for first U.S. U-15 Girls National Team camp of 2017
The U.S. Under-15 Girls National Team will kick off its 2017 programming with a camp at the U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Carson, California, running from Feb. 11-18. The camp will be led by U.S. Soccer Women’s Development Coach Mark Carr who has called up 40 players, almost all of whom were born in 2003 with two born in 2004.

Roster named for U.S. U-19 Women’s National Team training camp
The U.S. Under-19 Women’s National Team will kick off its 2017 programming with a training camp in Sunrise, Fla., running from Jan. 28-Feb. 4. Head coach Jitka Klimkova has called up 30 players, including eight who were on the USA’s 2017 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Team.

Virginia Tech goalkeeper Mandy McGlynn called to U.S. U-19 WNT camp
Virginia Tech freshman goalkeeper Mandy McGlynn impressed April Heinrichs and the U.S. Soccer coaching staff in 2016 as part of a 10-day tournament in Northern Ireland for the U-18 Women’s National Team. The Jacksonville, Fla., native is now poised to participate in the U-19 WNT domestic camp in Sunrise, Fla., beginning January 28, 2017.

Roster named for first U.S. U-16 Girls National Team camp of 2017
The Under-16 Girls’ National Team will kick off its 2017 programming with a training camp running from Jan. 16-22 at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center in San Diego. Head coach Jaime Frias has called up 24 players, all but one born in 2002.
