BURTON UPON TRENT, England (Via U.S. Soccer) – The U.S. U-18 Women’s National Team drew 2-2 with England in the second of two matches against their English counterparts during a training camp being held at St. Georges Park, the sprawling official training center for the England Football Association located about 130 miles north of London.

The back-and-forth match saw the USA take the lead twice only for England to equalize both times, the second coming in the 88thminute.

Abigail Kim scored both goals for the USA; the first in the 29th minute after she ran onto a beautiful through ball from Haley Berg. England pulled even in the 41st minute on a shot from outside the penalty area by Georgia Stanway.

Kim scored again on a breakaway in the 56th minute and it seemed as if the USA was going to secure a victory until Kess Elmore scored two minutes from time off a cross to earn her side the draw.

This group of U.S. players, all born in 1998, is in the early stages of a run that will hopefully see them qualify for the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, which will be held in France.
