U.S. U-18 Women’s National Team falls to England 1-0
BURTON UPON TRENT, England (Via U.S. Soccer) – The U.S. U-18 Women’s National fell 1-0 to the England U-18 WNT in the first of two matches against their English counterparts during a training camp being held at St. George’s Park, the sprawling official training center for the England Football Association located about 130 miles north of London. The teams will play again on July 14.
The only goal of the game came in the 69th minute as Georgia Allen scored the game-winner for England.
This group of U.S. players, all born in 1998, is in the early stages of a run that will hopefully see them qualify for the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup which will be held in France.
