Xavier women’s soccer signs pair of graduate transfers for Spring 2022

CINCINNATI Xavier women’s soccer head coach Nate Lie announced the addition of a pair of graduate transfers, Erika Hall and Grace Haggerty, to the roster for Spring 2022.

Hall comes to Xavier after four seasons with Northern Colorado and Haggerty joins the Musketeers after playing a pair of seasons at both LSU and Rhode Island.

Hall is a defender from Yorba Linda, Calif., who appeared in 65 games for the Bears, starting in 37. In 2021, Hall played in 18 games, totaling over 1300 minutes on the way to an All-Big Sky Second Team selection. In a shortened 2020-21 season, she appeared in all eight matches for the Bears with over 700 minutes played.

As a sophomore, she played in 20 matches and appeared in 19 as a freshman. She finished her time at UNC with three points on three assists, playing over 3,600 minutes as a Bear.

Haggerty is a defender from Orlando, Fla, who has appeared in 58 games in her collegiate career, starting in 39. In 2021 at LSU, she appeared in 15 matches, starting in three, playing over 560 minutes. On defense she was part of a unit that allowed a GAA of 1.23 and recorded two clean sheets, and on offense she notched her first collegiate goal, finishing the season with three points on a goal and an assist.

In a shortened 2020-21 season, she started in two of her seven appearances for the Tigers. At Rhode Island, Haggerty played in 36 total matches, making 34 starts on the backline, totaling over 3,800 minutes for her college career so far.
