Nevada women’s soccer signs goalkeeper Emily McCue on transfer
RENO, Nev. – Nevada women’s soccer head coach Erin Otagaki announced the addition of goalkeeper Emily McCue.
The British Columbia native spent two seasons at Florida Gulf Coast University and was a member of the ASUN Regular Season Champion team in 2019.
“Emily McCue is a technically sound keeper that will add to our goalkeeping core with her youth national team experience and knowledge of the game,” said Otagaki. “We are excited to welcome a fantastic soccer player and wonderful person to the Pack family!”
McCue, who stands 6 feet 2 inches tall, will have three seasons of remaining eligibility for the Wolf Pack. The goalkeeper appeared in two games as a freshman at FGCU registering three saves.
Prior to FGCU, McCue played club for the Whitecaps FC Girls Elite Super REX Program under Rhian Wilkinson & Mike Norris. She missed the start of her freshman season at FGCU after earning a spot at Canada’s U20 National Team Excel Camp.
McCue decided to attend Nevada because of the amazing coaching staff. She is planning to study computer science and engineering at Nevada.
