Twenty-eight teams win US Club Soccer New Jersey Cup titles
Twenty-eight teams were awarded 2017 New Jersey Cup titles, May 6-7 at North Brunswick Community Park in North Brunswick, N.J. The event was the largest edition of the annual state championship event yet with a record 1,011 participating teams – up from 934 in 2016.
Twelve teams claim US Club Soccer Hawaii State Cup titles
Three clubs secured 12 titles at the 2017 Hawaii State Cup, April 14-16 at the Waipiʻo Peninsula Soccer Complex on Oʻahu. Hawaii Rush led the way with eight championships, while Hawaii Surf SC and Honolulu SC Bulls grabbed two apiece.
US Club Soccer introduces Oklahoma Premier Clubs
US Club Soccer will sanction the Oklahoma Premier Clubs beginning in the fall of 2017, which will provide state, regional and national competition opportunities for its 11-U through 18/19-U boys and girls age groups. Five of Oklahoma's top clubs – Northeast Oklahoma FC, Oklahoma Celtic, South Lakes Cosmos, TSC Hurricane and West Side Alliance SC – have committed to the league as their primary competitive platform.

US Club Soccer's National Premier Leagues continue to grow, and the latest addition to the nationwide landscape is the Red River NPL, featuring 14 clubs from Arkansas, south Kansas, Oklahoma and north Texas.

The US Club Soccer id² Training Camp in Indiana was held March 23-26 at Grand Park in Westfield, featuring 2004 boys and 2003 girls from around the country. A total of 118 players from 75 clubs and 25 states participated in the identification and development camp.

Cullina (Reg-I), Sweeney (Reg-II) re-elected to US Club Soccer Board
Mike Cullina (Region I) and Mike Sweeney (Region II) have been re-elected to the US Club Soccer Board of Directors. In addition, K.C. Crabb (Region III) and Eddie Henderson (Region IV) were elected as new members, and all four will serve two-year terms.

Six months ago, US Club Soccer previewed all NPLs across the country. The Northeast preview garnered significant attention, as one of the hotbeds of NPL talent that includes numerous NPL Finals defending champions. Now, just four months until the 2017 NPL Finals, all five regional NPL leagues are intent on securing more hardware this summer.
