U.S. U-14 Girls National Team roster named for ODP Interregional
The U.S. Under-14 Girls’ National Team will come together in Sunrise, Fla., for a training camp running from Nov. 18-25 that will also see the team participate in the US Youth Soccer ODP Girls Thanksgiving Interregional tournament.
Gulf States Premier League hosts US Club Soccer PDP with 62 players
A total of 62 players from 10 different clubs participated in the Player Development Program (PDP) hosted by Gulf States Premier League, Oct. 29 at Lafreniere Park in Metaire, La. The PDP targeted 2003-04 boys and 2002-03 girls, and several players have been invited to the upcoming id2 Training Camp in Casa Grande, Ariz., Dec. 8-11.

The Super Y League is spreading with the creation of a new Mid South Division, which will encompass Northern Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Western Arkansas and Missouri.

The Elite Clubs National League College Impact series catalogs the impact the ECNL has had on college women’s soccer since its founding in 2009, which has increased every year. A total of 233 ECNL Alums are currently playing in the Big Ten Conference, and nearly 58 percent of the players in the Big Ten Conference are ECNL alums.
About face? Heinrichs says Girls DA will allow high-school play
U.S. Soccer emphasizes the importance of a full-time, professional-inspired academy model for elite youth players – one that does not include participation in high-school soccer. Abstaining from high-school play was presented as a founding principle of the federation's new Girls Development Academy. But USSF's women's technical director April Heinrichs opened the door to a substantial loophole in that policy this week.
NJ Youth Soccer Presidents Cup, Commissioners Cup champions crowned
The 2016 NJ Youth Soccer Presidents Cup and Commissioners Cup tournaments were decided at Bordentown Friendship Field this past Sunday. This event concluded the statewide competition that included teams representing the U11-U14 age groups. Winners of the NJYS Presidents Cup will now represent New Jersey in regional competition against other state champions.
