The U.S. Soccer Federation, in a Monday press release heralding an "unprecedented commitment to development of world-class players and coaches," announced the addition of an Under-12 age group to its Development Academy program. But will the addition of another, younger, age group solve some of the challenges facing youth development in the U.S.?

North American champions crowned at Super Y Finals

After five days of competition involving 120 boys and girls teams from across the United States and Canada, Tuesday saw 12 champions crowned at the Super Y-League North American Finals, presented by Nike, at the world-class facilities of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

The Club Champions League is holding its Fall College Showcase this weekend Dec. 5-7 at River City SportsPlex and Stratton Park in Richmond, Va., where all of their U15-U18/19 teams will play three final games of the fall portion of the 2014-15 league season.
