With the Thanksgiving holiday just around the corner, competition continued apace in the United States Soccer Development Academy and the Elite Clubs National League for teams in the D.C., Maryland and Virginia area. On the boys’ side, Bethesda-Olney won all three games over Potomac rivals Richmond United, while in the ECNL, FC Virginia and Richmond United’s girls sides looked strong against the Ohio Elite Soccer Academy and the Indiana Fire Juniors.

The Bethesda Tournament Boys Weekend was played from Nov. 21-23, with 55 U.S. Youth Soccer and US Club Soccer state champions, four regional champions and one national champion competing in age groups ranging from U9-U19.
