Women’s NCAA tournament bracket set, Florida State named No. 1 seed

The field of 64 teams, which will compete for the 31st NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Championship, was announced Monday. Florida State was named the overall No. 1 seed, with BYU, Penn State and Stanford grabbing the three other No. 1 seeds. [PSW] ACC champion University of Virginia was named a No. 2 seed in the tournament, while Maryland earned a No. 4 seed. Local teams Virginia Tech, Georgetown, Radford and Loyola Maryland also made the field.
