U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team tops Costa Rica in two friendlies
The U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team hosted Costa Rica in their Bradenton, Fla. IMG Academy home base for two international friendlies on Oct. 22 and 24. The U.S. delivered two convincing victories, winning both matchups 3-1 and 4-0, respectively.
U.S. U-18 Women’s National Team blanks Northern Ireland 3-0
The U.S. U-18 Women’s National Team defeated the Northern Ireland Under-19 WNT by a 3-0 score in its third and final match of the Women’s International Cup. The match was played in front of a crowd of 1,500 fans. The USA finished second in the tournament that also featured France and England.
USWNT defeats Switzerland 5-1 in Minneapolis on Sunday
Reigning FIFA Women's World Player of the Year Carli Lloyd led the U.S. Women's National Team to a 5-1 win against Switzerland on an another record-setting day in front of a crowd of 23,400 fans at U.S. Bank Stadium, the largest to watch the U.S. Women in the state of Minnesota.
U.S. U-18 Women’s National Team defeats France 3-1
The U.S. U-18 Women’s National Team defeated the France Under-19 WNT by a 3-1 score after coming back from conceding an early goal. Kelsey Turnbow scored twice and halftime substitute Belle Briede added a clincher.
USWNT facing Switzerland in Minneapolis on Sunday afternoon
Coming off a convincing 4-0 victory against Switzerland on Oct. 19 at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah, the U.S. Women's National Team will play the second leg of the two-game set on Oct. 23 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minn. (12:45 p.m. CT on FS1), as the 2016 schedule nears completion. It will be the USA's first visit to Minnesota in more than 10 years.
