Roster named for U.S. U-19 Women’s National Team training camp
The U.S. Under-19 Women’s National Team will kick off its 2017 programming with a training camp in Sunrise, Fla., running from Jan. 28-Feb. 4. Head coach Jitka Klimkova has called up 30 players, including eight who were on the USA’s 2017 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Team.

U.S. U-18 Men’s National Team kicks off training camp in Florida
U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team head coach Omid Namazi has called 28 players for the program’s initial training camp of 2017. The camp, which will run Jan. 23-30 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., marks the beginning of the second year of the group’s U-18 cycle, which consists of players born Jan. 1, 1999 or later.

Virginia Tech goalkeeper Mandy McGlynn called to U.S. U-19 WNT camp
Virginia Tech freshman goalkeeper Mandy McGlynn impressed April Heinrichs and the U.S. Soccer coaching staff in 2016 as part of a 10-day tournament in Northern Ireland for the U-18 Women’s National Team. The Jacksonville, Fla., native is now poised to participate in the U-19 WNT domestic camp in Sunrise, Fla., beginning January 28, 2017.

Morgan, Harris win CONCACAF Awards; USA places six on Female Best XI
The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) announced today that Alex Morgan is the 2016 CONCACAF Female Player of the Year and Ashlyn Harris is the CONCACAF Female Goalkeeper of the Year as winners in twelve different categories for the annual CONCACAF Awards were revealed.
