U.S. Under-14 Boys’ National Team head coach Clint Peay has gathered a 36-player group for the team’s second camp of 2017, and third since the U-14 cycle of the National Development Program started in 2016, to be held in Portland, Oregon.
United Bid Committee seeks host cities in bid for 2026 FIFA World Cup
The United Bid Committee of the United States, Mexico and Canada officially started its outreach for cities to declare their interest to serve as Official Host Cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup by sending Requests for Information (RFIs) to 44 cities across the three nations. The RFI asks each city to declare its interest to take part in the bid process by September 5, 2017.
USWNT to host Korea Republic in pair of October friendlies
The U.S. Women’s National Team will face the Korea Republic in two friendly matches, the first on Oct. 19 (7 p.m. CT; FS1) at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, and then again on Oct. 22 at Sahlen’s Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. (2 p.m. ET; ESPN).

U.S. Under-15 Boys’ National Team head coach Dave Van Den Bergh has named the 18-player roster that will compete in the 2017 CONCACAF U-15 Championship, running from August 13-19 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
Three added to Board for North American 2026 FIFA World Cup bid
Legendary U.S. National Team players and former U.S. captains Carlos Bocanegra and Julie Foudy, as well as U.S. Soccer Foundation President and CEO Ed Foster-Simeon, will join the Board for the United Bid Committee of Canada, Mexico and the United States that will oversee the bidding process to bring the 2026 FIFA World Cup to North America.
Briana Scurry, Dr. Joe Machnik elected to National Soccer Hall of Fame
Briana Scurry and Dr. Joe Machnik have been elected to the National Soccer Hall of Fame Class of 2017. Scurry was selected on the Player Ballot and Machnik on the Builder Ballot. Details about the induction ceremony will be released at a later date.
USWNT earns dominant 3-0 win vs Japan to finish Tournament of Nations
The U.S. Women's National Team claimed its second consecutive win to clinch second place at the 2017 Tournament of Nations with a dominant 3-0 win against Japan in front of 23,161 fans at StubHub Center. Australia was crowned champions following a 6-1 win against Brazil for a perfect 3-0-0 tournament record.
