Rob Ryerson joins Atlantic Soccer League as Player ID Director

The Atlantic Soccer League (ASL) announce that Rob Ryerson, Director of Coaching at Potomac Soccer Association, and the league have joined together with the objective to coordinate efforts in identifying the top U-16 girls and boys players within the ASL. Together they will work to provide cohesion in the process to recognize player’s individual soccer ability and to offer additional opportunities for further soccer growth and development.

Rob will be responsible for the identification process of the top players at selected tournaments, offer an ID residential camp program at Mount St. Mary’s University June 27-29, 2014 for the female players in the ASL, and to provide an international tour of league players, both boys and girls to represent the ASL at the world’s largest international soccer tournament, The 2014 Gothia Cup. The Gothia Cup is held in Gothenburg, Sweden July 9-20, 2014.

Rob will be present at selected ASL tournaments to include the Triangle Friendlies and ASL Showcase to evaluate the players in the U-16 age group for both girls and boys and will assist in the selection process of the “All-Tournament” team for that tournament. With the input of the age group coaches within respective clubs, players will be evaluated and then selected to an “All-ASL Team” at the conclusion of each event. The list of players will be made public on the website the following week after the tournament.
