USMNT facing Panama on Sunday as World Cup Qualifying continues
CHICAGO – Following the 2-0 shutout win against Jamaica in front of a sellout crowd of 20,500 at Q2 Stadium, the USMNT travels to Panama for the second of three World Cup qualifiers in seven days during the October international window and its third away match in the Octagonal. USA-Panama is set for Sunday, Oct. 10 at Estadio Rommel Fernandez in Panama City (6 p.m. ET; Paramount+, UNIVERSO).
The England-based duo of Antonee Robinson and Zack Steffen, along with midfielder Weston McKennie, will head directly to Columbus, Ohio in advance of USA-Costa Rica on Oct. 13 (ESPN2, ESPN+, UniMas, TUDN). Robinson and Steffen will not travel to Panama due to the quarantine requirements for those returning to the United Kingdom. Following the Jamaica match, McKennie experienced soreness in his right quadriceps. MRI results from today were negative, and he will proceed to focus on preparation for Wednesday’s match.
Following all the results on Matchday 4 in Concacaf, the USA sits in first place in the table (8 points). With an unbeaten 2-0-2 record, the USMNT will play its third away match of the final round having posted a win and a draw on the road.
