Texas A&M signs offensive maestro Kennedy Clark on transfer from Xavier

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M soccer team enhanced its offensive arsenal with the addition of Kennedy Clark, a forward who shined in her freshman season at Xavier in 2023, head coach G Guerrieri announced.

“Kennedy was one of the nation’s most celebrated freshman forwards in 2023,” Guerrieri said. “We’re excited to have her in Aggieland. She will fit in immediately with our players and A&M’s attacking style of play.”

As a freshman Clark started all 22 matches for the Musketeers. She ended the season with 12 points on three goals and six assists. She earned Big East Freshman of the Week on one occasion in 2023 as she helped Xavier to a 14-4-4 record, a share of the regular season conference crown and an NCAA Championship bid. Clark was ranked the No. 40 freshman in the nation by TopDrawerSoccer.com following the 2023 campaign.

“Kennedy helped Xavier win Big East championship and earn a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament last year,” Guerrieri said. “She is a very intelligent and skillful player with a background as a creative midfielder. She understands attacking spaces and the timing of runs very well. She is dangerous in attacking 1-v-1 or in combination with one, two or three teammates at a time.”

The Crestview Hills, Kentucky, native arrives in Aggieland with three years of eligibility remaining.

Clark was a prep standout at Notre Dame Academy in the suburbs of Cincinnati where she led the squad to a 2021 KHSAA State Championship with 14 goals and 13 assists in a 29-0-1 season. She played club soccer with Cincinnati United SC.
