Miami Hurricanes add offensive firepower with transfers from Texas Tech and Arkansas

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Miami Hurricanes soccer program announced the addition of two Power Five transfers as announced by head coach Ken Masuhr and staff. Joining the Canes are a pair of forwards in Gisselle Kozarski from Texas Tech and Zoe Shepherd from Arkansas.

Kozarski comes to UM after 74 appearances and experience in the NCAA Sweet 16 for the Red Raiders. Shepherd, a California native, was a two-year letterwinner in Fayetteville as the Razorbacks made Elite 8 and NCAA Second Round runs.

    • Logged 74 games and 51 starts as a four-year letterwinner in Lubbock
    • Started all 23 games during Texas Tech’s Sweet 16 run in 2023
    • Posted three goals and six assists during her senior season
    • Logged at least 700 minutes in all four season, including at least 1,300 in her upperclassman seasons
    • First Team All-State pick and San Antonio Super Team member at Steele High School
    • Named District Midfielder of the Year at Steele HS in Texas

    • Two-year letterwinner at Arkansas
    • Named to the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll in 2022
    • Appeared in 18 matches with the Razorbacks
    • Notched a goal this past season, scoring in a 3-2 win against Grand Canyon
    • Logged international experience in club soccer, earning a start against the Japanese National Team
    • Was a two-time First Team All-League pick in high school
    • Set the high school record for most assists in a season
    • Named a varsity starter all four years of high school, while also serving as a captain for two years
