LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. — The US Youth Soccer National League Florida Event wrapped up on Monday, as the National League P.R.O. teams played their final games of the event at the Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.

Top-finishing National League P.R.O. teams (12 per gender age group) earn direct advancement to the USYS National Championships, and the results in Florida proved to be crucial in shaping the group standings.

The competitive level of National League P.R.O. was on full display in Florida, as just 10 of a possible 26 berths to Nationals were determined during the action in Lakewood Ranch. Additionally, just one boys team — FC Bucks Dominion 07 Boys (PA-E) — won a National League P.R.O. group title.

With the title and berth to the National Championships, FC Bucks Dominion is ready to represent its club on another national stage.

“This event here is second to none. The teams here at National League P.R.O. are all good enough to represent at the National Championships,” FC Bucks Dominion coach Marc Meoli said. “This is going to prepare our guys. This is the exact level we’re looking for, and this is the level we should be at.”

Take a brief look at where the National League P.R.O. boys teams stand after NL Florida…

15U Group A – FC Bucks Dominion 07 Boys (PA-E) held on for a 2-0 win on Monday to move to 5-0-1 and secure the group title, along with the accompanying berth to Nationals. SC Vistula Garfield 07 Lewandowski (NJ) earned the group’s second ticket to the National Championships, as it earned a 1-0 win to finish 4-1-2.

15U Group B – Despite a 6-0-0 record, Libertyville FC 1974 Elite 07B (IL) has yet to clinch a Top 2 place, as the top of the table will be decided by remaining seventh games. Toca FC 2007 MLS (KS) and Madison 56ers 2007 Boys Red (WI) are each three points behind the Illinois side.

16U Group A – LFA Mueller 06 (MO) punched its ticket to Nationals with a dominant victory on Monday. However, it has work to do to secure the group title, as JB Marine Academy McKeon (MO) is just three points back and faces LFA in their seventh game. Potomac Blue 06B (MD) is also in position to potentially finish in the Top 2 with a win and some help.

16U Group B – With seven of a possible nine points secured in Florida, KC Athletics Academy Elite 06B Galacticos (KS) finished the weekend on top of the group. It has a Top 2 finish guaranteed but the results of the seventh games will dictate who finishes in first place. CUP 06 Gold (OH) and Dix Hills EST Ultimatum (NY-E) are each three points back of KC, and each side has a game left to play.

16U Group C – FC Westlake 06B Elite (TX-S) finished its season with a 5-1-1 record to clinch a Top 2 finish. However, Nationals Union 06 Boys Black (MI) could overtake Westlake with a win or draw in its last match. DUSC B2006 Blue (NY-E) is still alive for a second-place finish but needs a win in its last game and some help with other results.

17U Group A – Phila Ukrainian Nationals 05B Black (PA-E) is 6-0-0 after three wins in Florida, but MSC Academy 05 (IL) and Liverpool FCIA Central MD 05B (MD) are each within three points of the leaders. With each of the three side still having seventh games to play, no Top 2 spots have been secured.

17U Group B – Everything is still to play for at the top of the table in Group B, where BVB International Academy Pittsburgh 05B Premier (PA-W) holds a slim advantage with 16 points from six games. It has a game remaining against third-place Michigan Jaguars 2005 Boys NLC (MI), who is just three points back. Second-place Chicago FC United Boys 2005 Pre-Academy Red (IL) has 15 points and one game remaining, as well.

17U Group C – With 16 points, Libertyville FC 1974 Elite 05B (IL) has clinched a Top 2 finish with a game left to play. Its final opponent, Galaxy 2005 Boys Blue (IL) is just two points back and still in contention for the group title. Galaxy still has some work to do to clinch a ticket to Nationals, as FC Bucks Dominion 05B (PA-E) is still in contention heading into its seventh game.

18U Group A – Slammers 04B Maroon (NY-E) picked up a key win on Monday to remain on top of the group, and the other results allowed it to secure at least a second-place finish. With every team having one game remaining, Germantown Legends 04 Black NL (TN) is the only team that could challenge for the title, however it also has work to do to guarantee a Top 2 finish.

18U Group B – CUP 04 Gold (OH) earned a decisive win to punch its ticket to Nationals and move to 6-0-0. Its final match against Team Challenger FC B04 Black (OH), who has 15 points, will determine who wins the title. Meanwhile, LMSC Invictus (PA-E) picked up a key win on Monday that gives is a chance to overtake Galaxy for second place with a win and help in the seventh games.

19U Group A – FC Dallas Premier 03B (TX-N) and Ohio Galaxies FC 03 Elite (OH) picked up enough points in Florida to secure Top 2 finishes in the group. FC Dallas is currently one point ahead of Galaxies, but the Ohio side could move into first with results in its remaining games.

19U Group B – Three teams are alive for the two automatic berths to Nationals in Group B. LVU-FPA 03B Black Gorni (PA-E) picked up a big win on Monday against previous group leader Century Boys 2003 Gold (PA-W). That allowed LVU to move one point ahead of Century — level on 16 points with Nationals Union 03 Boys Black (MI), who also won on Monday. Those three sides each have a game remaining to determine how the top of the group shakes out.

The next National League P.R.O. boys event will take place Marc 11-14 at Legacy Sports USA in Mesa, Ariz.
