NYCFC Academy announces affiliation with Long Island club SUSA
(Via NYCFC) – New York City FC’s Academy has welcomed SUSA, a Long Island based club founded in 2001, as the 7th local club Affiliate.
The club’s introduction as an Affiliate of NYCFC allows SUSA unique access to NYCFC Academy training sessions, shared best practices and a direct link with NYCFC.
“We are excited to offer our SUSA players a direct link and pathway to a professional club,” Eddie Hackett, SUSA’s boys Director of Coaching said.
Importantly, SUSA will be able to have teams play in the NYCFC owned and operated City Development League, a U8-U11 league made up exclusively of NYCFC Affiliates aimed at enhancing player development.
“The City Development League format is ideal for player development and creates a fun environment for our players, parents and coaches,” said Dan Kravitsky, SUSA CDL Technical Director.”
