NC State women’s soccer team opts out of fall season
Although the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) is expected to play a portion of women’s soccer games during the fall, North Carolina State is opting out of the competition.
NC State announced the decision on Monday, citing a combination of injuries and the COVID-19 pandemic causing some players to not return to campus this fall for in-person classes. As a result, the Wolfpack will aim to play the entirety of their 2020-2021 schedule in the spring.
The team will continue to train during the fall semester.
