BATON ROUGE, La. (June 26, 2019) — Determination turned into celebration on Wednesday at Burbank Soccer Park in Baton Rouge, La., as one team has already claimed a 2019 US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Championship.

By winning the title, 19U Boys FC Dallas Youth 00 (TX-N), has secured a spot in the prestigious US Youth Soccer National Championships, which will take place July 22-28 at the Overland Park Soccer Complex in Overland Park, Kan.

The 13U-18U Boys and Girls finals, as well as the 19U Girls final, will take place tomorrow, Thursday, June 26, starting at 8:30 AM.

19U Boys Final Recap:
After finishing at the top of their respective groups, FC Dallas Youth 00 (TX-N) and MS Rush Premier (MS) both earned clean sheets in the semifinals to advance to the 19U Boys Southern Regional Championships final. MS Rush came into the match having conceded just one goal all event while the FC Dallas team came into the match as the age groups top scoring team. FC Dallas got at the MS Rush defense early in the game as Tucker Littleton got on the score sheet with an assist from Ethan Unger. The Mississippi side held off the FC Dallas attack until Brandon Torres doubled the advantage fifteen minutes into the second half. Rush could not fully clear the lines and the ensuring clearance would end up at the feet of Torres who sidestepped to the right and then hit a low shot to the far post to make it 2-0. The game got feisty at the end as both teams fought for the title but FC Dallas was able to run out the clock to secure the victory. With the win, FC Dallas advances to the 2019 US Youth Soccer National Championships for a chance to compete for the 19U Boys James P. McGuire Cup.
