FC United (U13) and Wasatch SC (U19) capture first two Girls Academy national titles

The Girls Academy Playoffs concluded on June 24 in Norco, CA in thrilling fashion, as the first two national champions of the 2024-25 season were crowned. (College Coaches)

Chicago FC United captured the U13 national championship, while Cincinnati United Premier finished second after a hard-fought 1-0 battle in the title match. FC United’s Tori Beetler was selected as MVP of the tournament.

Wasatch SC took top honors in the U19 age group, followed by national finalist NEFC. The Utah-based team rode their dominant offense to victory, securing a 4-2 win in the title match. Wasatch won five straight games in the postseason, outscoring opponents by a combined margin of 12-4. Class of 2025 BYU commit Sophia Sivulich was named U19 MVP after a stellar performance throughout the postseason, serving as the focal point of the Wasatch SC attack.

Class of 2026 forward Madison Taylor from HTX Soccer was honored as the Golden Boot winner at the U19 level. The U13 Golden Glove Award went to Sophia “The Red Dragon” from SJEB FC.

While the U13 and U19 divisions crowned their national champions in Norco, the U14-U17 divisions completed their group stages and initial round of knockout games. Eight teams from each U14-U17 division will be moving onto the GA Finals in Richmond, VA from July 10-13. To see the full results from the GA Playoffs across all age groups, click here.
