DC Stoddert joins Super Y League ahead of 2021 season
TAMPA, Fla. – The Super Y League announced that DC Stoddert has joined the league for the 2021 season, and will compete in the Mid Atlantic Division.
“Super Y League offers us the opportunity to keep our players learning and competing throughout the summer,” said DC Stoddert Technical Director Khaled Hamami on why the club is joining the league. “In such a competitive environment as the D.C. Metro area, it is key to keep players engaged and active in order to stay at the top of their game.”
“We’re excited to bring on DC Stoddert as a new member for the 2021 Super Y League season,” said Dominic Colarusso, USL Youth League Growth & Development Manager. “Our goal year over year is to bring quality clubs into the fold, and we’re confident that DC Stoddert will only add to the already competitive Mid Atlantic Division.”
The Super Y League provides a summer competition platform, with regional league play and opportunities for national exposure at events like the Super Y League Finals.
“We are most looking forward to a high level of competition in Super Y League,” said Hamami. “The superior structure of the league offers us the opportunity to compete and work toward goals and strive for success.”
“Being a part of Super Y League means our players will no longer have to leave Washington, D.C. to find competitive summer play. It will give them access to top rate training on a consistent basis along with the opportunity to meet new players and make new friends through competition.”
