US Youth Soccer clarifies age group structures for 2016-2017
As previously announced in August 2015, US Youth Soccer, along with other youth soccer sanctioning bodies, will be implementing the U.S. Soccer Federation’s birth-year registration mandates on Aug. 1, 2016. Due to additional interpretative changes by U.S. Soccer since this announcement in how competition age groups are labeled, US Youth Soccer and other sanctioning bodies are now clarifying the age group structures for the 2016-2017 season.
US Club Soccer update on U.S. Soccer’s birth-year registration mandate

Maryland SoccerPlex to host 2016 ECNL National Final Four
Maryland SoccerPlex in Germantown, MD will be the site of the 2016 U15-U17 ECNL National Final Four July 8-9, 2016. This is the first ECNL National Event in the Maryland area, and the first time a Final Four post-season structure has been used by the ECNL.

All brackets have been announced for the 2016 Jefferson Cup, which will be played over the course of three weekends in March featuring more than 1,100 teams.
Dates, locations of spring id2 Training Camps announced
Both spring US Club Soccer id2 Training Camps of the current cycle, which targets boys born in 2003 and girls born in 2002, will span both coasts of the country. The Glendale Sports Complex in Glendale, Calif., serves as the host of the first camp, March 17-20. Less than a month later, the second camp will be held at the WRAL Soccer Center in Raleigh, N.C., April 7-10.
Manhattan Kickoff Classic, NESS merge to create mega-showcase
With the recent news that the Manhattan Kickoff Classic has merged with the National Elite Soccer Showcase (NESS), youth soccer clubs in the Northeast and Tri-State regions no longer have to decide between the two high profile showcase tournaments and instead will send their teams to the expanded mega-event which will keep the Manhattan name.
