Embassy Cup: Bethesda SC, Maryland SoccerPlex expanding tournament network overseas
Bethesda Soccer Club and the Maryland SoccerPlex are launching a dual-level tournament which will include a Premier level bracket for international teams from all over the world and some of the United States’ top teams, along with a Qualifier bracket for the Bethesda Cup in November.
D.C. United Academy, Bethesda-Olney teams continue Development Academy playoff push
Neighbor clubs D.C. United Academy and Bethesda-Olney could see both their U-15/16 and U-17/18 U.S. Soccer Development Academy squads in the playoffs next month if the teams continue the strong soccer they have played as of late.
FC Milan becomes part of the new Commonwealth Futbol Club in Fredericksburg, Va.
FC Milan will be re-branding and becoming part of the new Commonwealth Futbol Club. All of the current players and teams associated with FC Milan will convert in the Fall of 2015. CFC will be holding open tryouts starting in May for all age groups, boys and girls, U-9 through U-18. Teams will play in WAGS, NCSL, ODSL and other club-centric leagues. CFC will also provide a significant tournament allowance for each team as part of the new program.
U.S. U-14 BNT heads to Croatia for training camp running May 7-17
U.S. Under-14 Boys’ National Team head coach Brian Johnson has called in 20 players for the team’s second foreign, and fourth overall, training camp of 2015 to be held in Zagreb, Croatia.

D.C. United Academy Under-13, Under-14, Under-15, Under-16 and Under-18 teams all returned to action over the weekend playing one match each on Saturday, May 2.
Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association to launch ENY Xpressway League in fall 2015
The Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association has introduced the ENY Xpressway League (ENYXL), which will kick off in fall 2015. The new league will start small with small-sided games in the Under-10 to Under-12 age groups for both boys and girls travel teams.
Tri-State area Development Academy review: May 2-3, 2015
Tri-State area Development Academy clubs Beachside SC, Oakwood SC, New York SC, Match Fit Academy, World Class FC, Met Oval, PDA, NJCSA, Red Bulls Academy, Empire Revolution, Albertson SC and Everton FC Westchester were all in action this weekend. There was a wide mix of close games and breakout performances as there was predictably more shakeup in the USDA's Eastern Conference standings and playoff races.
NJCSA hires Anthony Tuesta and Gabriel Michelle in youth development roles
New Jersey Cedar Stars Academy (NJCSA) has announced the hiring of Anthony Tuesta and Gabriel Michelle as youth coaches. Tuesta and Michelle will oversee and be responsible for the U8 - U12 Northeast Pre-Academy (NEPAL) and Elite travel league teams, as well as the Junior Development Academy (JDA) for ages 5-7.
