Dix Hills Elite U-17 Boys win their third Eastern New York State Open Cup title
The Dix Hills Elite did not give up a goal and outscored their opponents, 15-0, in the five games they played to win the Boys-Under-17 State Open Cup. This is Dix Hills’ third State Open Cup title and they were 2013 national finalists.

But on May 31 in LaGrange, the planets aligned and Manhattan Paris Saint-Germain, 2014 national champions, played Smithtown Arsenal, 2013 national champs, in the Boys-Under-18 State Open Cup final and won 4-0.

TSW: The U.S. Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) held its 2015 playoff draw for the U-15/16 and U-17/18 age groups on Wednesday, June 10. Qualifying teams were divided into eight groups for the playoff tournament which will be held June 23-26 on the Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield, Indiana. PSW: The U.S. Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) held its 2015 playoff draw on Wednesday, June 10. Within their respective age groups, D.C. United U-17/18 was drawn into Group A and Bethesda-Olney U-15/16 was drawn into Group E for the playoff tournament which will be held June 23-26 on the Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield, Indiana.
Two Potomac area sides earn spots in U.S. Soccer Development Academy postseason
Most Potomac area U.S. Soccer Development Academy teams completed their regular seasons over the weekend. With the U-15/16 and U-17/18 regular seasons in the books, two local sides - Bethesda-Olney U-15/16 and D.C. United U-17/18 - are postseason-bound, with Bethesda taking the No. 7 wild card spot and United earning the 8th overall playoff seed after placing second in the Atlantic Division.
Ten Potomac area ECNL teams move on to Champions League playoffs
The ECNL regular season wrapped up over the weekend with several high stakes match-ups involving Potomac area clubs. A total of 10 teams representing local clubs FC Virginia, McLean Youth Soccer, Richmond United, Bethesda SC and Maryland United FC have qualified for the ECNL Champions League playoffs across the U-14 to U-18 age groups.
