U.S. U-17 MNT routs Iceland 4-0, places 3rd at Vaclav Jezek Tournament
The U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team ended the International Youth Tournament of Vaclav Jezek on a high note with a resounding 4-0 victory over Iceland in the third-place match. Two goals from Indiana Vassilev (Unattached) led the way for the U.S. as Alex Mendez (LA Premier) and Alejandro Pereira (Orlando City FC) also notched goals in the win.
U.S. U-19 Women’s National Team set for CFA Tournament in China
The U.S. Under-19 Women’s National Team will travel to the Duyun, China from Sept. 2-15 to participate in the CFA International Women’s Youth Football Tournament that also features the Under-20 Women’s National Teams of Iran, Japan and host China PR. All matches will be played at the Qiannan Fitness Center Main Stadium.
U.S. U-17 WNT completes two-game sweep of England with 6-2 rout
For the second time in two matches against England during a training camp in Portland, Oregon, the U.S. Under-17 Women’s National Team scored six goals, this time winning 6-2 in a match played at Providence Park, home to the Portland Thorns of NWSL and Portland Timbers of MLS. The USA won the first match 6-1 on Aug. 23.

U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Bruce Arena has called 26 players into training camp in advance of the USA’s critical World Cup Qualifiers against Costa Rica and Honduras.
U.S. U-16 Girls National Team set for training camp in Germany
The U.S. Under-16 Girls’ National Team will travel to Germany from Sept. 6-15 for a training camp and two matches. The USA will face its counterparts from Germany on September 12 and 14 at venues in and around Wildeshausen, which is located in the northern part of the country, southwest of Hamburg.

The U.S. Under-17 Women’s National Team defeated its counterparts from England, 6-1, in the first of two matches between the teams. The match was played at the Portland Timbers Training Facility and saw the USA score early and often.

Financial executive Lisa Carnoy has been unanimously endorsed and elected to the U.S. Soccer Board of Directors. Carnoy will serve as an Independent Director on the Board, the governing body of the U.S. Soccer Federation.
