University of Alabama inks 7 class of 2023 recruits to NLIs

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama soccer team signed seven student-athletes to NLIs, head coach Wes Hart announced.

The Crimson Tide welcomed Cali Brewer, Taylor Esper, Kennedy Garcia, Coralie Lallier, Kierson McDonald, Nadia Ramadan and Cami Silva to the 2023 squad.

“We couldn’t be more excited about this 2023 class,” said Hart. “We feel they have the talent and ability to impact Bama Soccer in a big way. They check a lot of the boxes we were looking for.”

Cali Brewer

Riverside, Calif. | Academy of Innovation | So Cal Blues ECNL | Center Back

  • A 5-10 center back out of Riverside, Calif.
  • Invited to the 2017 U.S. Soccer National Training Center
  • Participated in the 2022 ECNL National Selection Game in Phoenix, Ariz.
  • U.S. Youth Soccer (USYS) National Champion and USYS Far-West Regional Champion
  • Back-to-back 4x Cal-South National Cup State Champion

Taylor Esper

San Diego, Calif. | Mission Bay High School | City SC | Midfielder

  • A 5-9 midfielder out of San Diego, Calif.
  • Invited to the Youth National Team ID Center on six occasions, in addition to being selected for the GA Southwest Talent ID roster and GA National Talent roster
  • Named the 2005 ECNL Crossfire Discovery Player in addition to being selected to the 2005 GA Team
  • Named to the All-League CIF Sports Girls Soccer team for her performance with Mission Bay High School

Kennedy Garcia

Westampton, N. J. | Rancocas Valley High School | ECNL blue truckers | Forward

  • A 5-4 forward out of Westampton, N.J.
  • Invited to the 2019 U.S. Club Training Camp in Oregon and the 2018 US Club Soccer id2 program in Florida
  • Named NJSSCA top-20 South Region and NJSSCA top-20 state
  • 2021-22 All-America high school nominee, while earning 2022 NJSA first team and 2019 third-team honors
  • Captain of Rancocas Valley in addition to being named MVP in 2021-2022

Coralie Lallier

St-Hubert, Quebec | Le Collège Français de Longueuil | Programme Excel Féminin | Goalkeeper

  • A 5-6 defender out of St-Hubert, Québec
  • Competed in both the U17 FIFA World Cup and U20 FIFA World Cup
  • Participated at the U17 Concacaf Championships in 2022

Kierson McDonald

Birmingham, Ala. | Oak Mountain High School | Alabama FC ECNL | Defender

  • A 5-10 defender out of Birmingham, Ala.
  • Earned Southeast All-Conference First-Team honors for her performance with Alabama FC ECNL
  • Named Metro Player of the Year in addition to being named an All-Metro First Team honoree
  • Selected All-State First Team, All-County First Team and 2021 AHSAA State Tournament MVP
  • Won the 2021 Alabama State Championship

Nadia Ramadan

Chicago, Ill. | Huntley High School | Sockers FC Chicago | Midfielder 

  • A 5-7 midfielder out of Chicago, Ill.
  • Served as captain for the U-17 Egyptian team in the Women’s World Cup Qualifier against Nigeria
  • Has competed with the Egyptian National Team for four years (2019-present), playing with the U-17 and U-20 squads
  • 2021-22 GA National finalist and GA Mid-America Conference Champion

Cameron Silva

Menteca, Calif. | Manteca High School | Mustang SC | Midfielder 

  • A 5-2 center midfielder out of Menteca, Calif.
  • Named All-Area Midfielder (2019-20) and All-Area Forward of the Year (2021-22)
  • Earned ECNL Second Team Northwest All-Conference honors for her performance with Mustang SC
  • Participated in U.S. Youth National Team ID Camp in Phoenix, Ariz.
  • Selected for the Valley Oak League MVP as a freshman
