In this edition we will showcase Dyllann Reed, who has spent the last several years representing Utah Celtic in the Girls Academy, and is now set to join FC Westlake in the ECNL for the 2026-27 season, after relocating to Austin, TX. Reed has verbally committed to play NCAA Division I soccer for Auburn University in 2028.

What made you decide to verbally commit to Auburn?
Auburn felt like home from the beginning. I love the coaches, team culture, and the opportunity to compete in the SEC while getting a great education.
What was the recruiting process like and what did you learn about yourself while going through it?
The recruiting process taught me to be patient and trust that God has a plan. I learned how important it is to have strong relationships with coaches when trying to choose a school.
How do you feel your strengths on the field will help the Tigers?
My strengths are speed, competitiveness, and strong work ethic. I’m excited to create chances, score goals, and do whatever it takes to help the team win right from the start.
What are your favorite subjects in school and what do you think you would like to study in college?
I have always had a big interest in science. I plan to study on a pre med track because I want to become an oncologist.
What has your experience been like playing for Utah Celtic in the Girls Academy?
Utah Celtic has helped me grow as a player as well as a person. The relationships I’ve built with my teammates will last a lifetime in the Girls Academy.
What are your favorite pair of cleats that you have ever owned?
My favorite pair of cleats were my Nike Zoom Mercurial Vapor 16 Elite.
If you could give one piece of advice to a younger player that wants to play at a high level, what would it be?
My advice would be to not compare yourself to others. Everyone has their own journey, but to achieve your extra work is key and having a positive mindset.
Is there anyone that you would like to give a shoutout to who has helped you both on and off of the field?
I would like to shoutout my mom and dad for supporting and believing in me throughout this process. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
