Players That Impressed: Girls Academy Finals and National Talent ID Event (2025)

The 2024-25 Girls Academy season is officially in the books after the U14-U17 National Champions were crowned at the GA Finals in Richmond, VA.
After FC United (U13) and Wasatch SC (U19) captured the first two GA National Championships in June during the GA Playoffs, the U14-U17 age groups decided their winners at the GA Finals. In total, six different clubs captured the league’s six titles, showing a strong level of parity across the GA.
In addition to the GA Finals, the 2025 GA National Talent ID Event was also held in Richmond, VA over the last week, featuring top prospects from across the 2008-2011 age groups. The GA National Talent ID Event included training sessions and sets of three matches played between all-star rosters in each division.

2029
Randall had a strong performance for City SC White 2011 during the quarterfinals, taking advantage of the smallest windows that opened up against a tough Real Futbol Academy back line. She recorded an assist on an outstanding long-range cross to the far post, after drawing the entire defense toward her side of the field. (WATCH)

Isabelle York | Forward
Tophat 2010 Gold (GA)
York showed why she’s a member of the U.S. Youth National Team roster pool and one of the nation’s premier prospects from the Class of 2029, as she played a big part in Tophat’s National Championship run. She scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the U15 Final against Galaxy SC, a long range strike in the second half to put her team on top for good. York is a well-rounded player sky high potential and a big leg.

Nyla Brown | Forward
Tophat 2010 Gold (GA)
This Class of 2028 striker delivered a huge performance in the U15 GA Final against Galaxy SC, recording a brace during the 3-1 victory. Brown opened the scoring with a header and later came through with a big insurance goal, as Tophat 2010 Gold took home the trophy.

Paxton Battaglia | Defender
Tophat 2009 Gold (GA)
In a fitting conclusion to what has been a phenomenal 2024-25 season, Battaglia stepped up for the White Team in the National Talent ID Event, earning the MVP award. The team captain for Tophat 2009 Gold helped lead her side to the GA Champions Cup title earlier this season, and she shined on the national stage once again in Virginia with more dominant defensive play.

Sydney Thomas | Forward
Columbus United 2010 (OH)
Participating in the GA National Talent ID Event, Thomas earned MVP honors for her standout performance competing on the national stage. The Class of 2028 forward showed her scoring prowess and excellent field vision, breaking lines against some of the country’s best defenders.
2027
A dynamic attacking player from the Class of 2027 for ALBION SC Las Vegas, Anfinson was named MVP of a National Talent ID Game. Anfinson’s high energy was unmatched in Virginia, as she worked tirelessly to find space in the attacking third, creating scoring chances for herself and her teammates.

Annie Fowler | Goalkeeper
FC United 2008 (IL)
Participating in the National Talent ID Event, Fowler was extremely sharp between the posts, showing her world class athleticism and instincts with some impressive saves. Fowler not only has the tools to make tough stops, she’s also an elite level distributor and organizer. The U.S. Youth National Team roster pool member earned MVP honors for her efforts.

Brooklyn Vann | Defender
Indy Premier 2009 (IN)
Secured the MVP award for one of the GA National Talent ID Selection Games in Richmond, as she helped her side pick up a gritty win in a defensive battle ultimately decided in a PK shootout. Vann is one of the highest-rated center backs in the country from the Class of 2027, and she proved once again why she’s a member of the U.S. Youth National Team roster pool.

Alexis Fragnito | Forward
Syracuse Development Academy 2009 (NY)
After recently verbally committing to Penn State for the Class of 2027, Fragnito spearheaded the Syracuse Development Academy offense during their run to the GA U16 National Championship. She scored both goals in the title match against Michigan Jaguars, showing that once again that she’s always ready to shine on the big stage.
2026
The future University of Georgia Bulldog and U.S. Youth National Team roster pool goalkeeper helped lead Galaxy SC 2008 to the GA National Championship. Folliard came through with some huge saves throughout the entire postseason, as she and her teammates on the back line shut down some of the top offenses in the league.
