OMG! What a Goal! Raul Jimenez’s game-winning bicycle kick keeps Mexico’s World Cup hopes alive [Video Highlights]
Club America striker Raul Jimenez scored a game-winning goal for Mexico with a bicycle kick against Panama on Friday.
In the 85th minute, Jimenez received a pass with his back to goal at the top of the 18-yard box. With his first touch, he popped the ball up to himself and then went to the air to bicycle kick the shot past a frozen Panamanian goalkeeper.
The goal broke a 1-1 tie and gave Mexico the 2-1 win, keeping El Tri’s 2014 World Cup hopes alive. The win moves them into fourth place (3 points ahead of Panama) with one more remaining.
