Hello, my name is Annie Yeh, a Freshman at Ames High School (Class of 2029). I currently play with VSA Rush 2011G Girls Academy (#36) in the Girls Academy Midwest West Conference, where I have competed for the past three years, as well as with Iowa ODP 2011 Girls (#41) for the past four years. I was selected to the Iowa Club Development League (CDL) ID2 Midwest Team and participated in US Club Soccer ID2 Midwest Select Games in Schaumburg, Illinois, for two consecutive years (2023–2024). In addition, in 2025, I was invited to attend the U.S. Soccer Girls Talent ID Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and was selected for the USYS Midwest Regional Training Camp in Rockford, Illinois, during the summers of 2023, 2024, and 2025.

My primary position is Center Back (4, 5), but I also play Center Defensive Midfield (6). I specialize in dictating the tempo of the game from the back. My game is built off two core strengths: A long and accurate passing range which allow me to break lines and switch the point of attack instantly. My second strength is tactical leadership I take pride with my “voice in the back” to direct the game, control the defensive shape and neutralize any threats before they can develop.

I am highly motivated, coachable, and thrive in competitive environments that demand accountability and quick decision-making. I love playing soccer because of how its both challenging and simple at the same time. I thrive the unpredictability of every game and the infinite decisions you can make in a split-second all of which gives me a rush of excitement. What drives me is the balance soccer offers between structure and creativity, along with the constant challenge of learning, improving, and competing at the highest level possible.

Outside of soccer, my hobbies are playing piano, trumpet and badminton. I also love to be outside with my dogs, or to just go on a bike ride.
