Winter High School Soccer Rankings revealed, featuring new No. 1 team on girls side

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — United Soccer Coaches released the latest regular season high school boys and girls winter soccer rankings on Tuesday.
A new team took over the No. 1 spot in the Girls Rankings, while the top team in the Boys Rankings remained the same.
Jesuit (New Orleans, La.) remained at the top of the boys rankings this week thanks to a 15-0-1 record. Wakeland (Frisco, Texas) held the No. 2 ranking and Seven Lakes (Katy, Texas) jumped two spots to third. Two new teams entered the top five with Vandegrift (Austin, Texas) ranked fourth and Maclay (Tallahassee, Fla.) ranked fifth.
St. John’s Country Day School (Orange Park, Fla.) took over the No. 1 spot on the girls’ ranking, shaking up the Nos. 2-4 teams. Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.) moved to the second spot with a 11-0-0 record. Prosper (Prosper, Texas) is third followed by St. Mary’s Dominican (New Orleans, La.) and Chaparral (Scottsdale, Ariz.) rounding out the top five in the girls’ poll.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, only states competing in the winter season are considered for the rankings.
