University of Pennsylvania women’s soccer welcomes 10 newcomers

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania’s Douglas N. Brush Head Coach of Women’s Soccer, Casey Brown, has announced her recruiting Class of 2024.

Ten young women—nine incoming freshmen and one transfer with sophomore eligibility—will join the Quakers’ women’s soccer roster in August as freshmen.

“We are excited to welcome these ten incredible young women to Penn. It has been terrific over the past few months in getting to learn more about what makes them great not just as student-athletes, but as individuals of high character,” said Brown, who was hired in March and was scheduled to enter her first season with the Quakers before the season was canceled on July 8. “This group brings a great deal of experience at a variety of the highest levels and is very motivated to positively impact this program. I am eager to work with them and am so excited to officially welcome them to the Penn Women’s Soccer family.”

After winning a share of the Ivy League title in 2018, Penn finished the 2019 season with an 8-7-1 overall record and a hard-luck 2-5-0 mark in Ivy play as six of the Quakers’ seven conference matches ended with a 1-0 score line.
