U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team wins second straight match with 2-0 win over the United Arab Emirates
The U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team earned its second consecutive win at the 2012 AGS Cup in Spain with a 2-0 victory against the United Arab Emirates on Sunday.
The U.S., which beat Morocco 2-1 in the opening match of the tournament on Saturday, converted two second-half penalty kicks in the win. Forward Mukwelle Akale put the USA in front 1-0 in the 44th minute and defender Shaquell Moore doubled the lead 16 minutes later with another spot kick in the 60th minute.
All matches at in the competition are 80 minutes in length.
The U-17 MNT continues tournament play on Tuesday, Oct. 2 against Azerbaijan at 12:30 p.m. ET.
