U.S. MNT to host Chile for friendly in Houston, Texas on March 26

CHICAGO (Via U.S. Soccer) – In the new era of the U.S. Men’s National Team, development continues with a stern international test against 13 th-ranked Chile on March 26 at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston (7 p.m. CT). Broadcast details will be announced at a later time.

The United States is 3-5-2 all-time against Chile in a series that dates back to the 1950 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Winners of the 2016 Copa America Centenario and defending champions of South America, La Roja finished second at the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup.

With the match falling on a FIFA international fixture date, all players in the MNT player pool will be available for selection.

“We’re thrilled to have an opponent of Chile’s caliber as we continue to build our team towards the Gold Cup,” U.S. MNT head coach Gregg Berhalter said. “Houston fans have shown fantastic support for the National Team, so we think BBVA Compass Stadium is an ideal venue to compete in.”

Tickets go on sale to the public Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 10 a.m. ET through ussoccer.com and at the BBVA Compass Stadium ticket office (open Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Groups of 20 or more can order directly at ussoccer.com.

U.S. NATIONAL TEAM IN HOUSTON

Houston has a tremendous history of supporting the Men’s National Team, posting four of the top 15 highest attendances to watch the MNT since 2000. This is the USA’s second visit to BBVA Compass Stadium, having previously played Canada in the opening match of its Centennial campaign in 2013. The city is one of 17 competing within the United States to host matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
