Thirty clubs represented in first wave of NPL Showcase acceptances

PALM COAST, Fla. (Via US Club Soccer) – Thirty clubs spanning Northeast, Southeast and Central states have had teams accepted into the 2016 NPL Showcase field.

The event – Dec. 29-31 at Indian Trails Sports Complex in Palm Coast, Fla. – brings together top NPL girls teams from around the country in 98/99, ’00 and ’01 age groups. It has quickly established itself as a quality destination for competition and collegiate recruiting opportunities.

During last year’s event, more than 100 college coaches and scouts made the showcase part of their recruiting efforts.

Only teams finishing in the top four of their league’s previous season standings, or who participated at the 2016 NPL Finals, are guaranteed acceptance into the 2016 NPL Showcase.

“We look forward to welcoming the NPL’s best girls teams for the third consecutive year,” NPL General Manager Leo Garcia said. “This showcase is designed to not only provide an arena for college recruiting, but also to give teams an opportunity to participate in high-level games that will help them eventually contend at the NPL Finals.”
