Sky Blue FC assistant coach Joe Nemzer joins PDA Girls coaching staff

PDA Girls Soccer has announced that current Sky Blue FC NWSL assistant coach Joe Nemzer has joined the club’s youth coaching staff. He will serve as the clubs College Recruitment Coordinator, while also assisting our older age groups.

Coach Nemzer brings a versatile background to the PDA Coaching Staff having been a part of each division in the NCAA, while also previously working with US Youth Soccer and the US Soccer training centers in the Midwest.

Prior to joining Sky Blue FC, Nemzer was the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Mount St. Mary’s University (NCAA Division I) in Emmitsburg, Maryland. He arrived at The Mount in 2016 after serving as the top assistant and recruiting coordinator at Central Michigan University for three years. During his time at CMU, Coach Nemzer was also the Head Coach of the United States Women’s Soccer team during the 2015 European Maccabi Games in Berlin, Germany, leading the US to a gold medal and undefeated tournament.

Prior to joining the Chippewas in 2013, Nemzer was an assistant coach at Fort Hays State University (NCAA Division II), Ottawa University (NAIA), and the University of Alabama in Huntsville (NCAA Division II). In addition to his work at the collegiate level, he was also a goalkeeper coach with Region II ODP with US Youth Soccer and with US Soccer Training Centers in the State of Michigan.

Originally from Newtown, Pennsylvania, Nemzer played collegiately at Penn State Abington, graduating in 2009.
